we were commissioned by tottenham hotspur to paint a huge mural in perth ahead of their pre-season game against west ham on 18 July.

the artwork was Led by local Aboriginal artist JD Penangke who used a traditional style which was overlaid with spurs players; son heung-min, richarlison and new aussie manager, ange POSTECOGLOU created in a graphic illustration style by our lead artist and founder, jerome davenport.

assisted by our painting team of Alex, Will, and Honey, we poured our hearts into this massive 200m2 wall which was turned around in less than 2 weeks from brief to completion.

The mural was created to amplify the noise around the club's presence in Perth, engaging with their australian fan base. what was refreshing from our perspective was the brief to create something authentic and culturally relevant by collaborating with jd [jade].

with Alex (Co-founder) being a Spurs fan himself, this has been a dream project to be a part of and we’re stoked with how it’s turned out ahead of the game.

catch this mural for the next 4 weeks at 16 st Georges terrace.

This design features a central meeting place in the middle of the design which is connected to four smaller gathering places. The blue enclosed shapes are the ancient wetlands of Whadjuk Noongar boodjar/country that once filled the Perth area. Journey lines are seen in light blue in the top and bottom of the design that represent the homes of players, coaches and community and the path they’ve travelled to Boorloo/Perth.

The white element is rain which nourishes the land and fills the wetlands. Yellow is the movement of water throughout Whadjuk Noongar boodjar.
